Andrea Schimböck-Marock

Linz, Austria

Time is a luxury. Make it a masterpiece.

I do not paint people just as they appear. I paint people as they feel.

My paintings are not simply portraits. They are encounters - with a gaze, an emotion, a moment of tenderness, joy, vulnerability or quiet strength.

The eyes are the heart of every painting I create. I always begin with them, and I do not move on until they express what I want to convey. For me, every encounter begins with the eyes.

My aim is not to reproduce reality in every detail. I sometimes deliberately exaggerate colours, forms and expressions to evoke emotion. Through ornamental elements, patterns and the layering of colour and form, I create a visual intensity that goes beyond a faithful likeness.

Likeness is my starting point, but not my goal. What I seek to capture is the essence and emotional truth of the encounter.

Whether I paint a child, a musician, a dancer or two people sharing a moment of closeness, my intention remains the same: to reveal something of their inner world through colour, expression and movement.

I want to reveal not only what makes each individual unique, but also what connects us all.

Violetta Clock Square.jpg

A clock is usually a functional object. It measures time and, in everyday life, often reminds us of appointments, deadlines, responsibilities and everything that still needs to be done.

The Hora Tempus Artist Edition can add another meaning to this familiar object. The clock still measures time, but the artwork can also create a moment of reflection: a reminder not to lose sight of ourselves in the pace of everyday life.

This opens a communication concept that moves from measuring time to experiencing time. Time becomes more than hours and minutes. It becomes something personal: something we value, shape, feel and choose how to live.
